Janet was born and raised in Massachusetts.  She eventually met her husband Pete and  moved to Pennsylvania.  They are the parents of two daughters.

Her occupation prior to joining FPC was working as an elementary school secretary for 15 years.  Her town of Perkasie, PA is known for having the oldest Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in the US.  In her spare time, Janet enjoys golf (well, attempts golf), crocheting, playing bingo and walking.

Choir Director

Connie Emery

Choir Director

Connie Emery

Connie was born and raised in Aurora, Illinois, and was always involved in music. Her mother was choir director of her Presbyterian church and was Connie’s first exposure to music at home. Connie was in band and choir all through her school years, playing the flute and singing in a cappella choir in high school.

She majored in music at Illinois Wesleyan University for just one year before deciding to change her major to elementary education. Thus ended her formal education in conducting, but she has learned from every choral director she’s had, in 5 different churches over the years. She is proud of the FPCW choir and honored to be their director. She is now also directing Bach With a Beat here in The Villages. She plays in The Villages Flute Choir and the Windsong Flute Ensemble. Other interests include mah jongg, golf, and card games.

After a 35-year career as a grade-school teacher, Connie moved to The Villages with her husband Jerry in 2009, and they joined FPCW in 2010. Connie has been a Deacon for the past 2 years. They have two sons and two granddaughters.

Accompanist

Eunice Mosier

Eunice Mosier attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she studied under concert artist Owen Berger, majoring in instrumental music (oboe & piano).  After a hiatus to raise two daughters, her education was resumed at Wayne State University in Detroit, graduating with a degree in vocal music.

Eunice taught vocal music in public schools for some 15 years before retiring.  Eunice played piano with the Hawthorne Community Orchestra (Leesburg) and accompanied the Hawthorne chorus, each, for the past fourteen years as well as several brass and string ensembles. She now enjoys being a part of the service at First Presbyterian Church working with Shiela Phillips.
